Registration for the NICARAGUA 2005 event is open for adventure teams from throughout the world participating in 4-person mixed-gender teams, minimum one man and one woman per team. Teams will be awarded priority for registration on a first-come first-serve basis with limited geographic quotas (Central America and the Caribbean, South America, North America, and the rest-of-the-world).

The registration fee is $2000 per team and includes lodging, food, and transportation in Nicaragua from July 16 2005 to July 22 2005. This package includes one night at official race headquarters on July 16th and a hotel at race finish on July 22nd. However, teams are required to bring tents for camping in prepared areas during the race. Registration is available online through www.ACTIVE.com. A limited number of support people and spectator spots are available for this race. The registration cost for these spots is $550 per person and includes lodging, transportation, and meals in Nicaragua from July 16-22 2005 in a parallel package to the actual race (see spectators section for more detail).
